Yes! We support artists from Vancouver to Salt Spring Island, Kelowna, Fort Langley, Victoria and the surrounding areas! By keeping our artists local, we are supporting the local economy and giving BC artists the opportunity to support themselves financially through their art.

We thought long and hard when we created the business plan for Bird on a Wire Creations. Our driving force, to shift society’s views that Artists/Makers starve to thrive, has fueled us since 2010.
We reviewed all the best practises in business, and provide a platform to emerging Makers that allowed them to test their work on the market as well as receive valuable feedback from both the store and our customers.
We finally settled on the consignment model as it provides both the store and makers with the most flexible platform. Working under this model, we have access to the adaptability and ease of adjusting to current market demands.
We work in partnership with each Artist and share the joy of their stories. Often, we provide guidance or new product suggestions, which is a very exciting part of what we do. This is a strong knit community that we are proud to be a part of.
We aim to always always always provide ‘Limitless Possibilities’ to all.
We will never put a product on sale unless directed by the Artist, as we do not believe in discounting a Makers’ work.
We carry a wide variety of artists and craftspeople at Bird on a Wire, and we take great care in choosing each new submission. We only carry artists within 100 miles of the Greater Vancouver area, and we are mindful to avoid overlap in styles to keep our selection of products unique and one-of-a-kind. We LOVE sustainable, eco-friendly, and zero waste products, and artists that inspire clean living and social consciousness.
We are a consignment-based gift store, and we find new artists through Instagram, word of mouth, and local craft fairs. But the BEST way to get your art in our store is to email us! Visit our artist submission page to learn more.
