Mural Fest is an annual Vancouver street fair that celebrates artists and local vendors. Over 30 artists took to the streets of Vancouver, claiming a wall to call their own and stamp their creativity on. 30 new murals have popped up in the Main St neighbourhood, adding culture and community to an already thriving city. We were proud to be a part of the celebrations on Saturday, parking our tent outside the store to mingle with our friends and neighbours.
We love local, and we love zero waste even more! That's why we chose our three favourite eco friendly artists to feature at our Mural Fest booth. With Vancouver's plastic ban going into effect next year, the need for plastic straw alternatives is real. Enter Glass Sipper, a Vancouver brand with the solution to the plastic problem. With creative glass blown designs on each straw, you're sure to stand out in a crowd with one. Abeego and gogoBags both offer creative alternatives to plastic food packaging. Ditch the plastic cling wrap and fall in love with Abeego's reusable beeswax food wraps. They last up to a year, and can be used on any kitchen food. If you're on the go, grab a gogoBag reusable snack bag and throw your apple slices in! gogoBags have also released a line of straw bags, the perfect companion for your Glass Sipper straws.
